From Seto Sensei — Yes
to your statement on Victor Wembanyama!! Thanks for mentioning that Konishi is also known as Kunishi. Great knowledge!! Gen. Vinegar Stilwell’s and Captain Ronald Reagan’s courageous act in honoring among the earliest Japanese American kotonk 442nd KIA in a Westminster cemetery . I would gather that your dad respected both men for that recognition given. More and more I am appreciating the compassion of President Reagan. Thank you for sharing info about him. And this KIA was immune to fear, like Dan Inouye & the only 442nd volunteer Korean — LA’s Kim. ABL Basketball!!! The Hawaii Chiefs!! 7 foot center. 1962 2nd Team ABL All Star. Thanks for bringing back dopamine- happy memories! I believe the Hilo Senior League instituted the 3 pointer because of the excitement it brought to ABL players and fans. Super deep, real, empathetic coverage of the respectful
yet tense and
relationships between Red Rocha and Ah Chew Goo! Sad
to read about Ah Chew Goo’s dark side
️ (I can relate because I have one) in his ignoring Dr. Francis Wong in their youth. Ultra

Slater Martin and
Wataru Misaka, but Nisei hero Mike Masaoka 1915-1991 with Utah ties to Wataru Misaka. Thank you for schooling me on Japanese Americans and others.
From me — KIA kotonk Masuda (Westminster) had a death wish — a kamikaze. He dared Krauts to kill him as he charged ahead in open terrain. How he got killed was that we went looking for Kraut scouts (scopers) despite orders to stand down. He was brave to the Nth degree — though whispered as lolo by Hilo’s Wataru Kohashi 1922-2022 centenarian & others. From Seto Sensei —
Masuda certainly breaks the stereotype of the “soft” kotonk (refined, cerebral, aversion to dirt and grime, etc.) May he rest in peace! Me — Everybody’s different — ningen sama zama.
